Tomales sits 15 miles out from our shop in Petaluma, and the calls we get from out here look different from the calls we get closer in. The median year built for homes in Tomales is 1938 - that's roughly three decades older than the 1966 median across the rest of our service area, where most stock dates to the 1960s and 70s. A house built in the late 1930s or 1940s was not built with an attached garage sized for a modern sectional door and a 1/3 or 1/2 HP opener.
